Upon arrival in Costa Rica, we will be waiting for you at Juan Santamaria International Airport. Our chauffeur will transfer you to your hotel. Spend rest of the day at your own leisure. In the evening you may take a stroll and explore the neighborhood to feel the charm of the city.
Overnight stay in San José.Early transfer to Tortuguero National Park located at the Caribbean. On the way enjoy the landscape of Braulio Carrillo National Park. Stop for breakfast en route at El Ceibo Restaurant in Guápiles and transfer to La Pavona river dock to board the boat for transfer to the lodge.
You will be greeted at the lodge with a welcome cocktail and enjoy your lunch. In the afternoon visit the small picturesque village of Tortuguero, including the Turtle Conservation Center. Tortuguero is considered the most important place in the western Caribbean for the Green Turtle nesting. The green turtle nesting is one of the most interesting natural phenomena. The process is considered the most critical period in the biological cycle of the turtle since the females have to go to the beaches in large quantities and during more or less fixed times. These concentrations and the difficulty of travel on the sand, make these species very vulnerable to man and other predators. That is the reason why the Tortuguero National Park is interested in the protection of these marine species. There is no doubt this is an experience that you should not miss when visiting the Tortuguero area during the months of July through October. Overnight stay in Tortuguero.Early in the morning, time to explore the local trails. Free time to use the hotel facilities (for example kayaks/ included in the package), or just relax in the swimming pool. In the afternoon, take a boat tour through Tortuguero National Park Canals. Enjoy the flora and fauna (see three types of monkeys, butterflies, exotic flowers, small turtles, alligators, iguanas, and birds).
Overnight stay in Tortuguero.After breakfast, boat transfer to La Pavona river dock. We will have our lunch at El Ceibo Restaurant. Private transfer to San Gerardo de Dota Cloud Forest. San Gerado de Dota is a piece of pristine land located deep inside the mountain valleys and ornated with the simplicity of nature and the warmth of the local dwellers. The mountains and jungles give it an Alpine feeling in the Tropics.
Overnight stay at San Gerardo de Dota.In the morning we will be taking a short jungle hike walk. The guide will lead the tour to try and spot one/some Quetzal(s) for you. With its metallic green plumage, crimson breast and bell and its incredible streamer-like feathers, watching a male Quetzal in its magical fly, is a unique, breathtaking experience. Experience the serenity of San Gerardo de Dota. In the afternoon, we will be going to Dominical Beach area.
Overnight stay in Dominicalito.It's an exciting day as we will be going for whales and dolphins watching tour. FrIrst we will be visiting Marino Ballena National Park. Early in the morning, the boat will depart from Punta Uvita Beach and visits the famous Punta Uvita Whale’s Tail, Ballena Island, Tres Hermanas Islets and Ventana Sea Caves. During the tour, we will be spotting Humpback Whales (seasons from mid-July to October late: Southern Humpback Whales) and two different species of resident dolphins.
Overnight stay in Dominicalito.In the morning, our chauffeur will transfer you to the International Airport Juan Santamaría for your flight back. Wish the calmness and peace of Costa Rica keep echoing within you for long. Have a safe and pleasant trip back home.
