Drive straight into the real Sweden and the deep forest of the area of Northern Roslagen, famous for the archipelago, the ironworks, the villages, and the ocean. We also recommend a visit to the Knutmasso museum located on Bruksgatan. Here you can find out more about Sweden's most peculiar tradition – the Knutmasso carnival, celebrated on the 13th of January (Knut's Day) every year. Overnight stay in Amot.Get to know the nature surrounding your accommodation during a guided hike along the so-called bear track. Your guide will take you deep into nature and tell you all about the different animals and plants to encounter along the path. Halfway you will stop to enjoy the panoramic view with delicious refreshments and a typical Swedish cinnamon bun in hand, sitting around the bonfire! End your walk through the troll-forest, a piece of ancient forest with moss and trolls to guide you further down the way!

Overnight stay in Amot.Your journey continues South through the region of Dalarna. You will pass the city of Falun, a world heritage site famous for its copper mine. Why not stop at Lake Runn, between Falun and Borlänge. It is said that this lake has as many islands as there are days of the year. Whether or not this is actually true, it’s certainly an excellent lake for learning to sail or paddle a kayak. Continue to the Värmland region and your accommodation Dömle Mansion.
Overnight stay in Deje.Enjoy your day in the region of Värmland and decide whether you want to spend your day fishing in the province's beautiful lakes, go on a mushroom safari, or, for those of you who are a little more adventurous, go rafting on one of the many rivers. Or why not visit the Nobel Museum in Karlskoga. This is the only Nobel museum showing Alfred Nobel’s home, the Björkborn mansion, as well as his laboratory where he developed many of his inventions.
Overnight stay in Deje.In the morning, you will be heading to the region of Östergotland. Here amongst lakes, meadows and forest reside the old vicarage now lovingly restored into a comfy hotel – Villa Sommarhagen, your accommodation for the coming nights.
On the way there we do recommend a stop at Vadstena Castle. The construction of the Castle began the year of 1545 on the initiative of the king Gustav Vasa. The fortress later evolved to a beautiful renaissance castle, finished the year of 1621 and can be visited during the summer months. Else make a detour to the Berg Locks, the Gota Canal's biggest tourist attraction, situated near the town of Linköping. The famous lock area has one flight of seven locks and another two double locks, raising boats 18,8 meters between Lake Roxen and the visitors’ harbor at Berg. Overnight stay in Boxholm.Here you can find nature activities for everyone in the beautiful surroundings with lakes, forests, and meadows – just a stone throw from beautiful Lake Sommen. If you are still a child at heart, we recommend a visit to Vimmerby, the place where Astrid Lindgren was born and grew up.
Overnight stay in Boxholm.Today you head towards the sea and the charming village of Trosa. Check into Trosa Stadshotell. Stroll through the carefully preserved town center or along the river with its pastel-colored, turn-of-the-century houses and glazed verandas. You are never far from any café or restaurant and can enjoy a traditional Swedish Fika (coffee and pastry in the afternoon). Relax in the park of Trosa Stadshotell which was already a meeting place for society in the early 19th century. In the evening, enjoy the hotels' spa.
