Overnight stay in Oslo.Today, you will leave Oslo and take the train to Myrdal and then the famous Flamsbana to Flåm. Flamsbana is a spectacular train journey that offers a panoramic view of some of the wildest and most magnificent nature in the Norwegian fjord landscape. It is one of the steepest train lines in the world on normal tracks, where almost 80% of the journey has a gradient of 5.5%. You will then take the boat to Balestrand and discover Sognefjord, the longest open fjord in the world.

Go for a walk or visit the Glacier (excursion not included – can be booked in addition) and relax in your hotel which has so many stories to tell.

You will spend the day at leisure and what has made Bergen popular around the world is its charm and atmosphere. It really must be experienced and it is worth exploring. Wander along the Fish Market and mingle with the masses as they go about their daily life. Stroll leisurely to the Aquarium to see the fish, the penguins, and the seals. Walk the length of Bryggen to the old fortress of Bergenhus. Get to the top of Mount Fløyen (town center funicular), or Ulriken, or any of the seven mountains that ring the city.
Overnight accommodation in Bergen.After breakfast, you will leave for Lofthus, first by bus to Norheimsund and then by boat to Lofthus. Depending on the timetable, you might spend your afternoon in Norheimsund – situated at the heart of Hardanger, the natural starting point for your stay in Hardanger. Try your hand at rope making and boat builder at the internationally reputed Hardanger Fartoyvernsenter (entrance not included) or wonder in the main street where you will find some interesting shops. In the afternoon, you will take a boat and will arrive in Lofthus where a dinner and a room with a fjord view will wait for you.
Overnight stay in Lofthus.After breakfast, you will have the entire day to explore Lofthus. We recommend you visit the church from where you will have a beautiful view on Folgefonna glacier, have a look to Edvard Grieg's Composer Cabin in your hotel’s garden or wander in the fruit tree fields. Fruit blossom in Hardanger is an experience people never forget! Ullensvang is a known fruit farming area, and in spring thousands of fruit trees are breathtakingly white during blossom.
Overnight stay in Lofthus.Today, you will travel by bus to Rosendal via Odda. The village is especially known for the Barony Rosendal, a historic estate and manor house located in the village. If you walk in the village you will also see the Kvinnherad Church, a white, stone church that was built during the middle to the late 13th century.
Overnight stay in Rosendal.After breakfast, it is time to return to Bergen by boat where you will spend the rest of the day at leisure.
