Itinerary

Day 1 - MAUN

Upon arrival at Maun Airport, you will collect your fully equipped 4WD vehicle and make your own way to Thamalakane River Lodge. Thamalakane River Lodge is beautifully situated on the banks of the Thamalakane River within a canopy of riverine forests, approximately 20-minute drive from Maun. Accommodation is in stone chalets with stunning river views. The chalets are complete with mosquito nets and ceiling fans, ensuring a perfect and comfortable sleep. A la carte meals are served from the restaurant and guests can enjoy stunning sunsets by the swimming pool and some amazing bird sightings. Day 2 & 3 - MOREMI GAME RESERVE


Travel under your own arrangements from Maun to Xakanaxa Campsite. Located along the edge of the Okavango Delta, in the Moremi Game Reserve and overlooking the Khwai River, this beautiful campsite is a perfect base for wildlife enthusiasts. The site has an ablution block, showers, hand basins, and toilets. The area is surrounded by marsh and is in a prime location for enjoying the abundant wildlife in Moremi Game Reserve.

Day 4 & 5 - KHWAI CONCESSION


Depart and drive from Xakanaxa to the Khwai Campsite near the Khwai Concession. Located in a shaded area under trees on the banks of the Khwai River, the campsite is perfectly placed for great views of the diverse Moremi Game Reserve wildlife from the comfort of your chair. The Khwai Campsite comes complete with hot and cold showers, toilets and all for your camping pleasure. North Gate is a perfect area for game viewing, bird watching, and photography and is a predator hotspot. Guests overnight at Sango Safari Camp – (meals own arrangements)

Day 6 & 7 - SAVUTI, CHOBE NATIONAL PARK


Journey by road from Khwai to Savuti, an area that forms part of the Chobe National Park. Savuti Campsite is the ultimate campsite for safari enthusiasts. Not only is it located along the Savuti channel, but it is also in the south of Chobe National Park, a prime game viewing area of the park with abundant wildlife. The site is complete with 2 ablution blocks with solar lights, hot and cold running showers and toilets. Guests overnight at Savuti Safari Lodge – (meals own arrangements)

Day 8 & 9 - IHAHA, CHOBE NATIONAL PARK

Depart and drive from Savuti to Ihaha. Located in the Chobe National Park, on the Chobe River, Ihaha Campsite offers stunning views of the river and Namibia beyond. This is the perfect place to enjoy all of what Chobe has to offer. Home to the highest concentration of elephants in Africa, watch these majestic animals come down to the river to drink and play. The campsite has modern facilities in the form of 2 ablution blocks, each with 2 showers and toilets.

Day 10 - KASANE

Take a journey at your leisure through the park to the town of Kasane. Upon arrival at Chobe Safari Lodge, return your rental 4WD Vehicle. Enjoy a full day at leisure. Chobe Safari Lodge is situated in Kasane right on the banks of the Chobe River and shares a border with Chobe National Park. The lodge is a safari paradise for any wildlife enthusiast and offers a host of facilities including a swimming pool, river bar, well-known restaurant and beauty salon. The main bar and dining area overlook the stunning Chobe River providing picturesque sunsets each evening. Accommodation offered to guests are in en-suite rooms/chalets or self- catering campsites equipped with modern ablution facilities and electrical points, all overlooking the river. Meals are served in the central restaurant, where a delicious buffet is offered with all types of mouth-watering cuisine. Activities at the lodge include game drives into the wildlife hotspot of the Chobe National Park, as well as a tranquil boat cruise down the river (own account).

Day 11 & 12 - VICTORIA FALLS, ZIMBABWE

Scheduled cross-border road transfer from Chobe Safari Lodge to Lokuthula Lodge. This resort consists of 37 rustic thatched lodges, a mere 4 kilometers from the spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Site of Victoria Falls. Situated within the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge resort estate, Lokuthula is surrounded by 80,000 hectares of un-spoilt African bush and borders the unfenced Zambezi National Park. A nearby waterhole facilitates free passage of wildlife, including buffalo, elephant, hyena and a variety of plains game between the park and the lodges. Guests will often see the lodges personal “lawn mowers” which are in fact the resident warthogs who make themselves quite at home in the surrounding gardens. The individual lodges consist of bedrooms, kitchenettes, and basic cooking facilities, lounge, terrace, and barbeque area. The lodge provides a complimentary shuttle bus into the town centre as well as to the Rainforest, where the entrance to Victoria Falls is situated. A stay at Lokuthula is not complete without a visit to the famous Boma Restaurant, which is onsite – bookings necessary in advance.

DAY 13 - DEPARTURE

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Victoria Falls International Airport (own account) in time for your international flight or onward arrangements.
