The capital! The queen of Sikkim, and what is more exciting than exploring the city itself? This trip will be a perfect blend of city and village tales in East Sikkim. There will be Gangtok on one side and Martam on the other. The 5 nights in Sikkim will not grab any monotony because the pace of the trip shall be variable in terms of places and experiences.
The long-awaited proposal happens to be true now! It's a call from the queen, Gangtok. Here we will arrive Gangtok after covering a journey of 4.5 – 5 hrs from NJP / Bagdogra with the assistance of our chauffeur by road. The old wood, the road, the people unprepared for the frozen winter, whistling around with the cold wind, shall thaw our hearts with warmth. With all the temptations, we have been taming in our heart for the last 5 hours will meet the ease only when we will check into the hotel and spend the rest of the evening at leisure followed by dinner and night stay at Gangtok.
After an early breakfast, we will be exploring the major aristocracies of this place that connects to the history, i.e, The Nathu La pass (if permissible), which plays a major part in the building the history of India, and to other neighboring countries. Other than that, we will be visiting Changu or Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir. For the day trip, we have to thrive on the local road food for lunch. After a long tiring eventful day, we will visit the M.G. Market in the evening for some shopping excursion and dinner. Later we will return to the hotel for a night stay at Gangtok.
A lovely sumptuous breakfast to gear up before checking out from Gangtok for visiting ten points and then Martam by the end of the day. We can have some authentic Tibetan cuisine for lunch in Gangtok Mall area. After the end of the day trip, we will visit MARTAM – a village getaway completely away from the city’s hullabaloo. The day will finally end with a lovely dinner and comforting night stay at Martam.
After an early breakfast, we will visit Saramsa Garden and then, Rumtek Monastery. En-route we will have lunch and will visit the Temi Tea Garden. Later, by afternoon, we will return to our retreat for leisure followed by dinner and night stay at Martam.
After breakfast, we will explore the with long walks and witness the farm practice by the local farmers. However, if we cannot cover Temi on Day 04, we can surely do the same today. This day will East for rest, leisure, delicious meals in the retreat followed by night stay at Martam.
After breakfast, we will be heading towards NJP / Bagdogra for the return journey.
