A place, when, shivers with mesmerism often fades away along the fear of falling toward it. Lachung, the invigorating palace with coruscating white topknots, meeting the blue, waving back and forth to the sun, hosting a “day”. A place, where, an explosion of beauty performs with a thrill in our heart. The upcoming trip of GANGTOK – LACHEN – LACHUNG (5N/6D) inspires the mind to rise, rise and never limit any height of achievement throughout the journey symbolically.
It may sound tougher to visit and thrive at the highest point of Sikkimthe but we will be breaking the journey to make things easier to acclimatize. Hence, we will proceed towards Gangtok from NJP / Bagdogra covering 4.5 – 5 hrs journey with the assistance of our chauffeur waiting to greet us at the meeting point. Once we proceed towards Gangtok, we need to have lunch en-route because it will take almost afternoon to reach hotel and nothing much can be done out of tiredness apart from spending the rest of the time at leisure followed by dinner and night stay at Gangtok.
After breakfast, we will start for Lachen witnessing the mild mists over the mountains, breathing a cold cloud of air, flowing with the present, knowing the secrets of the place, with a short village trail at Lachen to end the day followed by dinner and night stay at Lachen.
The Gurudongmar lake, the lake that preserves calmness and beauty, that connects to the divinity, the lake that gives you a heartthrob, sparks with the sunshine, shall be our morning call. After, we return to the hotel, have our lunch and continue our road trip to Lachung. Once we check into the Lachung accommodation, we will be at leisure followed by dinner and night stay at Lachung.
Lachung, a bosom of our last mate, the unremembered soul of North Sikkim, the place that lost its emancipation with the war between the countries, but it never lost its beauty, its simplicity, it serves as a language of its own, trying to speak with every blow of rising breeze. It is the medium for us to visit the ultimatum of North Sikkim, the zero point, YUMTHANG VALLEY, KATAO, wearing white top knots shimmering with gold sparkles. After, this long-awaited trip, we will return for lunch, move for a village trail followed by dinner and another night stay at Lachung.
Next morning after breakfast we will proceed towards Gangtok. Here, we may engage in some shopping excursions, lunch and dinner at typical regionally popular eateries at Gangtok, followed by rest and night stay at Gangtok.
After breakfast, we will check out from Gangtok and proceed towards NJP / Bagdogra for the journey home.
