Itinerary

Day 1 - Welcome to Lima

Upon arrival in Peru, we will be waiting for you at Jorge Chavez International Airport. Our chauffeur will transfer you to your hotel. Spend rest of the day at your own leisure. In the evening you may take a stroll and explore the neighborhood to feel the charm of the city.

Though Lima is the second driest capital in the world, the waves of the city spirit and the cool breeze of the Pacific makes rolling down from the long coastlines, makes the city a heavy dose hub of America Latina vibe, Explore it like a local and it will charm you.

Day 2 - Exploring Lima

In the morning, we will be going in a guided tour that includes visits to the main Colonial attractions such as the Main Square with the Cathedral, San Francisco Convent, and many elegant buildings with their traditional wooden balconies which are now being restored. Afterwards, you will visit Lima’s traditional and typical residential areas: San Isidro with its Olive Grove, Country Club and Golf course and Miraflores with its Central Park, City Hall and Main shopping streets such as Larco Avenue.

Day 3 - Lima - Cusco

After breakfast, you have a transfer to the airport for your departure flight to Cusco. Arrival in Cusco, reception, and transfer to your accommodation.

In the afternoon we will enjoy a tour of Cusco, the former capital city of the four regions that formed the Inca Empire. The tour includes highlights of the Colonial city such as the Cathedral, the Q’oricancha - an amazing example of the fusion of Incan and Western cultures, that was one of the most important temples in the Inca Empire - the Plaza de Armas and visit the Inca ruins of Tambomachay, Kenko, Puca-Pucara and Sacsayhuaman’s gigantic zigzag-walled fortress.

Day 4 - Cusco - Machu Pichu - Cusco

After breakfast, we set off by train for Machu Picchu. The train passes through the Sacred Valley. The single line track hugs the right side of the canyon next to the boulder-strewn, roaring Urubamba River. Finally, we arrive at the small town of Aguas Calientes, and a 30-minute bus ride will take us up to Machu Picchu.

Machu Picchu, an Inca city with a maze of fine stone temples, houses, and fountains, is spectacularly situated on a ridge between two peaks. It was hidden by dense vegetation when Hiram Bingham discovered it in 1911. In the special guided tour of the Machu Pichu explore the wonder and the ingenuity of the Incan engineering. The location, the narratives of unknown history, the lush green mountains and the rising mist and fog lurking on the Machu Pichu will transport you to a different world. In the afternoon, after having lunch we will be returning to Cusco by train.

Day 5 - Cusco - Puno

We will be taking a luxury coach in the morning to go Puno from Cusco. The route is scenically stunning, and there are stops at cultural sites such as Pikillaqta, the baroque church at Andahuaylillas, the Temple to Viracocha at Raqch'i. We will stop at Sicuani for lunch and refreshments. The bus climbs to the high pass of La Raya, at 4,200 meters, from here the scenery changes dramatically. Arrival in Puno, reception, and transfer to the hotel.

Day 6 - Puno - Lake Titicaca - Lima

In the morning we take a short boat ride to visit the Uros Islands, the famous floating reed islands of Lake Titicaca. A unique feature of this part of the lake is the traditional settlement of Uros people on floating islands made entirely of reeds - the same material they use to build their canoes. The Islanders also use totora reeds to make boats and also consume it as food.

In the afternoon there is an excursion to the haunting ruins at Sillustani - giant funeral towers used during pre-Inca times to bury the wealthy which overlook alpaca pastures and the tranquil lagoon of Umayo. Transfer to the airport to take your departure flight to Lima. Arrival in Lima, reception, and transfer to the hotel.

Day 7 - Adios!

In the morning, our chauffeur will transfer you to the Jorge Chavez International Airport for your flight back. The magic of the Machu Pichu and the unparallel beauty of Peru may stay green in your memories forever. Have a safe and pleasant trip back home. Hoping to see you again soon!
