Upon arrival at Maun Airport, you will be met and transferred by light aircraft to Tau Pan. In semi – permanent camp in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, environmental sensitivity is a key focus at Tau Pan. The camp is 100% solar powered and water is pumped from deep under the Kalahari sands. The beautiful camp is built overlooking a permanent waterhole and accommodates guests in 8 well-appointed en-suite tents on raised decks, all complete with comfortable beds and stunning views. Thrilling wildlife is regularly seen from the comfort of the camp but can be explored further on game drives. The Central Kalahari is host to an abundance of game including cheetah, leopard, ostrich, and giraffe. Guests overnight at Tau Pan – lunch, dinner and breakfast.
After breakfast, you will depart via scheduled air transfer for a 2-night stay in the Okavango Delta. Pom Pom is built overlooking a lagoon in a private concession in the Okavango Delta, on the western border of the game-rich Moremi Game Reserve. Pom Pom is host to a variety of game, with both plains game and predators regularly spotted. There is also an abundance of birdlife, including the Lily Trotter, and Pied King sher. With your very own personal guide and tracker, you cannot miss any of the action, exploring the area through game drives. Alternatively, you can trail the delta lagoons and channels on a dugout canoe and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the delta waters. After an eventful day out in the wilderness, you can retire to your luxurious en-suite tent or head to the thatch and canvass the main area for a cold drink from the bar before catching up with other guests over dinner in the boma. After breakfast, you will depart Pom Pom Camp with a light aircraft for a 2-night stay. Built on a superb setting on the eastern tongue of the Okavango Delta in the game rich Khwai area, with breathtaking views of the Khwai River, Machaba Camp is a classic property offering luxury accommodation in a wildlife haven. Accommodation is in 10 luxury tents, where your morning sunrises begin by watching the elephants and hippos in the river from your veranda. The rooms are complete with en-suite bathrooms including his and hers basins and a private, outdoor shower. Days are rounded off with a delicious meal served in the dining area or cooling off in the inviting swimming pool. Activities at the camp include game drives in the Moremi Game Reserve where big game such as elephant, leopard, and lion are a regular sighting and mokoro excursions in the maze of waterways that form part of the Delta. Guests overnight at Machaba Camp – lunch, dinner and breakfast.
After breakfast and the morning game activity, depart Machaba Camp for the Kwando Concession. Overlooking the Linyanti marshes, Lebala offers guests panoramic views of the wide plains and dotted tree islands in front of the camp. The camp accommodates 16 guests in total in 8 spacious luxury twin tents raised on teak decks to give magnificent views of the overlooking wide-open plains and the diverse game coming in for a drink. The tents are well appointed to give guests privacy and are accessed via sliding doors from your private veranda. The main camp consists of a lounge, bar, raised-deck dining room, swimming pool and social re-pit area for the evening’s tales. Homemade fresh meals are served buffet style from the airy thatched main area. Activities on offer include game drives, night drives and nature walks (at the guide’s discretion due to the high volume of large herbivores such as elephants). After breakfast, take a scheduled transfer by light aircraft from Lebala to Kasane Airport for Muchenje Safari Lodge. Situated in the Chobe Forest Reserve on the western edge of the Chobe National Park, Muchenje Safari Lodge offers personal service and a thrilling wildlife experience. Activities at Muchenje include exploring the diverse Chobe game through exciting game drives or a sunset boat cruise down the Chobe River. Enjoy a variety of nature activities available at the lodge – game drives, nature walks or boat cruises. Guests overnight at Muchenje Safari Lodge – lunch, dinner, and breakfast.
After breakfast, you will be transferred from Muchenje Safari Lodge to Botswana Immigration. You will then be transferred by boat to Namibia Immigration and the Chobe Princesses, located along the banks of the Chobe River. They are upmarket houseboats berthed on the famous Chobe River right by the entrance to the Chobe National Park. Guests overnight on board Chobe Princesses – lunch, dinner, and breakfast. Please note: Guests will be required to comply with Botswana and Namibia immigration formalities on arrival and departure.
After breakfast, transfer by boat to Namibia Immigration from where you will continue by boat to Botswana Immigration. Scheduled transfer by road to Kasane Airport in time for your onward arrangements.
