Itinerary

Day 1 - Welcome to Oslo

After your arrival in Internation Airport, our local representative will greet you and you will be driven to your hotel. The Norwegian capital is beautifully situated at the head of the Oslo Fjord and surrounded by forested ridges. Oslo offers many well-known sights such as the Vigeland Sculpture Park, the Viking Ship Museum and the Munch Museum.

Day 2 - Oslo - Bergen

Today you will experience Norway’s most popular round trip. The excursion takes you through some of the most beautiful scenery in Norway's fjord region. You will travel by train across the Hardangervidda Mountain Plateau and down the Flåm Railway. The Flåm Railway will take you through wild and beautiful mountain scenery and down to the Sognefjord. There is no other adhesion railway in the world running on normal tracks that are so steep over a long distance. From Flåm you continue by boat on the Nærøyfjord, Europe’s narrowest fjord, to Gudvangen. From here you go by coach up the steep and spectacular hairpin bends of Stalheimskleiva*, before arriving in Voss, where you will board a train for the last stretch of the journey to Bergen. Evening arrival in Bergen – the Gateway to the Fjords.

*The drive up Stalheimskleiva depends on the dates and the weather.

Day 3 - Leisure or Exploring Bergen

Spend the day at your own leisure in Bergen. Bergen is Norway’s second largest city and the world’s only city surrounded by 7 mountains and 7 fjords. Sights of interest are the Hanseatic Bryggen Wharf, Fløibanen Funicular, Troldhaugen, the Fish and Flower market, Bergen Aquarium and Gamle Bergen (Old Bergen Open Air Museum). If you wish to explore the city and the surrounding, we will be glad to organize a tour for you.

Day 4 - Bergen - Western Coastline - Stavanger

After the morning breakfast, we will check out of the hotel. An express bus from Bergen will take you to Stavanger, Norway’s fourth largest city that has a fine collection of gabled houses, cobblestone streets, winding alleys, and busy markets. One of Stavanger’s highlights is the Old Town (Gamle Stavanger) with well-preserved early 18th- century whitewashed wooden houses. Explore the city and there are surprises at every corner of it.

Day 5 - Cruise in Lysefjord

After a leisurely morning and sumptuous breakfast, we suggest you take a 4-hour mini-cruise to the 42 km long Lysefjord, with views of the Pulpit Rock 600 meters above the fjord (Preikestolen). This is one of the most beautiful days of the tour. The glowing granite rocks on both sides of the fjords creates an enigmatic beauty which can be expressed.

There are two optional tours that can be opted today:

Fjordcruise Lysefjorden and Preikestolen, 3 hours

This sightseeing tour takes 3 hours with the famous Pulpit Rock, 604 meters above Lysefjorden, in the starring role. Preikestolen is one of the most visited natural tourist attractions in Norway.

Pulpit rock cruise and hike, 8 hours

Experience the Pulpit Rock both from the fjord and from the top! The guests will get to see the majestic Pulpit Rock, the Vagabonds Cave, idyllic islands and magnificent scenery. On the return from the fjord, the boat stops at Oanes and drops of the guests who want to hike to the Pulpit Rock. From here the guests will be transported by bus to Preikestolhytta where the hike starts. On average it takes 2 hours to walk one way. When the guests have finished their hike, they will be transported by bus to Tau, where they take the ferry back to Stavanger. This is a challenging hike without a guide. Remember to bring food, good hiking boots and clothes for different weather conditions!

Day 6 - Stavanger - Kristiansand

From Stavanger, you travel by train along the Southern Line to Kristiansand, southern Norway's largest city. With its weathered old homes and pulsating summer atmosphere, this is a very charming city. In the afternoon, we will take a guided tour of the city exploring it more closely.

Day 7 - Kristiansand - Oslo

Today you will travel the last part of the Southern Line by train, bringing you back to Norway’s capital city - Oslo. After checking into the hotel, the rest of the day is at your own leisure. You may explore the city and go for souvenir shopping.

Day 8 - Goodbye!

Your chauffeur will bid you a warm farewell at the airport and wish you a pleasant and safe trip to your next destination.
