The road, snaking up and down with wonderments, hypnotizes you up with the cold and frosty wind, holds you with its unsurpassable ecstasy, the pride of the mountains, sprawled over the East Sikkim, The Silk Route. It’s a land of crystalline beauty, flowing along the frozen pines, exploding with snow bombs, with a vivacious stare from the winter sun, and you’re breathing, you feel your existence, your spirit. How enchanting, it will be to ride through the winding roadways of Echhegaon, Mankhim, Zuluk, Nathang and finally to Gangtok at the base.
Ah! it's entertaining likewise! and it begins with a walk right after our arrival and lunch at Echey Gaon, NJP. A long walk or local sightseeing, precisely, it shall be cooling, but lovely once we are on track. There's nothing more exciting than embracing nature, and here we call it our first night with dinner and night stay at Echey Gaon homestay.
Kanchenjunga! it's a frozen morning, seeking for its "Star" performer, they call it "Kanchenjunga Sunrise", We believe it's the first philological equation of the word "Beauty". And we shall witness it when the clock strikes; right from Echey Gaon. After an early breakfast, we will float towards Mankhim, appreciating the scenic ecstasy of Pedong, Sillery Gaon, Reshikhola and check in by noon to have lunch and rest of the day at leisure followed by evening bonfire, dinner and night stay at Mankhim homestay.
A mountain ride is tiring and exciting as well, and an early wake-up call is more like a nightmare to us when it's freezing outside, ah! these blankets! Darn it! we are the aspiring wanderers, this won't make us weak, we will get up and step outside, and Byam! It's gorgeous! though the same place, but it's more fascinating today, "Kanchenjunga Sunrise" from Mankhim, and we shall proceed further towards "Zuluk" after breakfast; watching over the beauty of the town, covering the Kuikhola Waterfalls, Lingtum, Lampokhari (Aritar Lake), British Bungalow, Rai Temple, Monastery and finally check into our destined homestay for a night st Zuluk.
A calm, white morning, sloping down over the Thambi, with the winter sun, spreading over with its vivacity, will be a justice to our sleepy observing machine, and we will set off to explore Zuluk after breakfast covering the Zig Zag road through Lungthung and reach Nathang. We will spend a day here at leisure with all meals and night stay at Nathang homestay.
Our mornings shall be bright and crystal, we believe it brings positivity, as they say, "Morning shows the day is directly proportional to the sunrise view at Eagle’s Nest Bunker or Lungthung. Then we will return to hypnotizes for breakfast, and leave for Gangtok, the city. The city is gorgeous and eco-friendly, the natives are progressive, it's a city of lovey-dovey people. Our last day at Gangtok shall be remarkable with the memories of the scenic fantasies like Old Baba Mandir, Kupup Lake, New Baba Mandir, Menmecho Lake (you have to trek to reach Menmecho), Tukla Valley, Jelepla Pass, Yak Golf Course, Ice Hockey Field, Tsomgo (Changu) Lake, and will end with dinner and night stay at Gangtok.
After an early breakfast, we will be riding down to NJP/BAGDOGRA for our return journey.
