There is no Geographical outline that does not cross the tribal tradition. Our daily life which is being dominated by the corporate gigs and materialism, always seek something unconventional that may sync with the regular trend of life. What else can be better than exploring tribal culture and lifestyle of Arunachal by coming across the lives of Apatani, Tagin and of many more origin in places like Ziro, Daporijo, Along and Pasighat?
We will be picked up by our chauffeur waiting at the Dibrugarh station/airport for our onward journey to Lakhimpur. Our aim to reach Ziro will need a break for the night at Lakhimpur which is nearly 4.5 hrs from Dibrugarh by road. After an early start of the day, it will be obvious to get hungry and so will halt for lunch en-route. We shall reach the hotel by afternoon and spend the rest of the day at leisure followed by dinner and night stay at Lakhimpur.
After breakfast, we will be heading towards Ziro, the land of Apatani tribe. En-route we will have lunch and check into the hotel in Ziro by afternoon. We shall go for a leisurely walk and return to the hotel for an early dinner and night stay at Ziro.
We will wake up early to visit the Talley Valley Wildlife Sanctuary nearby and will return to the hotel for breakfast. Our day trip will include farm excursion at Tarin Fish Farm noted for paddy cultivation and an impression of livelihood leads by the Apatani tribe. Then there will be Dolo Mando, Kile Pakho. We will be having lunch en-route and shall proceed towards Namdapha National Park. Later by late afternoon or in the evening we will be back to our hotel for leisure, dinner and night stay at Ziro.
After breakfast, we will visit two nearby villages – Yachuli and Yazali to observe the livelihood of Nyshi tribe. The best time to make this particular trip is within 23rd to 27th of February every year during the Nyokum Yullo Festival. It celebrates the culture and existence of this tribe with various performing arts by the Nishis. Spending an entire day on the landscapes of Yachuli and Yazali, we will get back to Ziro by afternoon. The rest of the day will be at leisure followed by dinner and night stay at Ziro.
It will be an early call for us to head towards Daporijo after breakfast. The journey shall take 8 hours approximately, but the view to experience will be breath-taking. It will be late afternoon or evening to reach the Daporijo hotel and we will have our dinner and be on for night stay at Daporijo. After breakfast, we will be on for a day trip in Daporijo. We will visit Sigem Daporijo Reserve Forest, Kamala Reserve Forest and in the afternoon will be exploring the nearby villages - Raga, Taemin or Mori to experience the tribal life and culture of the Tagin tribe, their involvement in handicraft making, animal husbandry and farming. In the evening we will return back to the resort, followed by a dinner and night stay at Daporijo.
After an early breakfast, we will proceed towards Along and will check into the hotel by evening. A long road trip will end with a sumptuous dinner followed by night stay at Along.
After breakfast, we will be up for exploring Along and set off for Darka village ideal during Mopin Festival every year in April. The Kane Wildlife Sanctuary will be in the list along with paradise falls. The day will be more a relaxed kind of travel experience and we will return to the hotel by afternoon and spend the rest of the time in leisure followed by dinner and night stay at Along.
It's a morning call again and after breakfast; we will head onto Pasighat, the gateway of Arunachal. We will visit the round cane rings, swinging strings, shattered wooden pavements dangling above the mighty Siang makes it a picture perfect moment of thrill and adventure. The waterfalls and the rock cliffs freeze the picturesque spirit of the place. The place is aware of the wildlife which leaves traces in the Daying Ering Wildlife Sanctuary, where we may get to see the migratory birds pronouncing freedom everywhere and the hog deer, hispid hare, and wild buffalo, Sambars, elephants and other rainforest macro and microfauna. Moving to Kekar Monying, a mountain cliff near Rottung empowers the unknown history of India we will be almost at the end of today’s day plan. In the evening, we may get to taste some authentic cuisines in the local market during our shopping excursion and then, will be back to the resort for the night stay at Pasighat.
We will have an early breakfast and leave for Dibrugarh to catch our evening for our homebound journey.
