The foundation being an amalgamated blend of Indian and Portuguese cultures, the pint-sized state of Goa’s biggest draw is obviously the unending cluster of pristine golden sand beaches, equally complemented by the blinding green countryside with majestic waterfalls and interlaced network of streams, in turn, harbouring an ecosystem of fauna and flora, rich in diversity.
As we want to be deliberately left out of the clutters of daily life, Goa welcomes with the most carefree culture of India, just soaking in the pristine natural beauty of the state.
Our chauffeur will be greeting us at the airport to drive us to the resort in Chorla Ghats, where an average elevation is 800 mt. It is a part of the Western Ghats in the Sahyadri range and located at the intersection point of Goa, Karnataka, and Maharashtra. Our eco-friendly resort will provide ample opportunity to relax in its swimming pool, followed by a delicious lunch and a subsequent rest. The surrounding can be explored later in the afternoon, as one embarks on a nature walk on the outskirts of the region’s subtropical forest. As evening sets in, the resort dresses up with a soothing atmosphere on the glow of dimming the lights to provide a perfect ambiance to enjoy in the middle of the forest. The combination of a perfect sumptuous dinner followed by a leisurely night stay will be ultimate at Chorla Ghats.
After starting the day with a filling breakfast, our guide will assist on a nature walk into the forest to spot some exotic birds. A short hike through the forest of Jamboti Ranges can be made to encounter the dense white undergrowth of water droplets of the mighty Vajra Falls, with nearly a 160 ft drop. The fatigue from the excursion can be dealt with by a pool session back at the resort, followed by a sumptuous lunch and needful afternoon nap. A short siesta can be on the cards. The sunsets in forests are quick and inconspicuous but still a sight nevertheless. Evenings can be spent in leisure, followed by another delicious dinner and night stay at Chorla Ghats.
Today’s destination is the northern part of the state. After a sumptuous breakfast, we’ll be on a ride through the pristine beaches of Goa, after we checked into your new resort in North Goa, followed by a light lunch. The pool at the resort can be ditched today for the Goan beach experience. For the more adventurous ones, a trip to a backwater safari can be arranged also. The shacks at the beach provide excellent options for some local food for supper, after a magical sunset by the beach. As the night deepens we will return back to the resort for the night stay at North Goa.
There will be a lot of traveling today; hence a sumptuous breakfast is needed to start the proceedings with. North Goa is most known for its golden sand beaches and that’s what is going to be the draw of today’s schedule, apart from our visits to the religious emblems of the town, given shape by great architectural prowess. Fort Aguada, the Church of Mae De Dues is prime examples of such feats. However, visits to the string of beaches like the Arjuna Beach, Mandrem Beach and Arambol beach among many others is the main course of the journey, to get acquainted with the beach culture of the coastal state. An en-route lunch can be done so as to return back to the beach near the hotel, in time for being witness to another enchanting sunset. The shacks will be providing authentic Malvani cuisine as well for a sumptuous dinner. And gradually we will release our tiredness on the bed after returning to our resort for the night stay at North Goa.
Today, after having a fulfilling breakfast, we’ll be taking you on a journey to the other half of the state, the South Goa. Distinctively different from the northern part, this area houses a much more laid back lifestyle, where the unhurried pace and the exotic beaches beckon solitude seeking travelers. The southern district is older in heritage which one can realize while admiring the brilliance of the architectural geniuses, built with an amalgamated style of Indian and Portuguese design. The Old Goa Churches like the Basilica of Bom Jesus and the legacy of the Indo-Portuguese cultural richness and the old beaches of Colva and Palolem provide opportunities to dig deeper into the sands of time. By evening, it’ll be again time to relax on the beach back at North Goa, followed by another set of fabulous local food as dinner and a subsequent retirement back at the comforts of the hotel room for the night stay at North Goa.
