The following 2 nights / 3 days heritage experience in Elgin Hotel Darjeeling is meant for attaining a glimpse of royal hospitality in hills. Elgin shares a touch of class in matters of serving its guests and the architectural grandeur of the property is something unnoticeable in recent structures. We will be there to appreciate the heritage aspects of the place and the property.
Once we arrive at Bagdogra by mid-day our chauffeur will greet and drive us up to Darjeeling and we will be checking in by late noon. After a lovely lunch, we shall rest and in the afternoon will visit the nearby Mall Road to embrace the spirit of old Darjeeling. The evening can be spent on munching the finger food at the popular Keventer’s Cafe located on the Mall Road, Darjeeling. Later in the evening, we will get back to the resort for dinner and night stay at Darjeeling.
An early morning drive to Tiger Hill for witnessing the sunrise at Mt. Kanchenjunga is one of the ethereal life-experiences one can have in this part of the world. The dawn will break with our return to the resort for breakfast and the next day trip. The seven-point trip is always there for a first timer in Darjeeling or we can take a different route to explore the heritage of Darjeeling. A toy train joy ride for 2 hours round trip from Darjeeling to Ghoom can be a spot booking activity for the guests. Later by the noon resides, we will have lunch in a locally popular restaurant and then shall proceed to explore the tea estates of Darjeeling. By the evening, we will return to the Mall area for some shopping excursion followed by a lovely dinner at Glenary’s. The day will end with our return to the hotel followed by night stay at Darjeeling.
We will start early from Darjeeling after breakfast and proceed towards Bagdogra to catch our return flight via Mirik. At Mirik we will spend some time by the lake and will continue our journey to Bagdogra. Note: An additional day can be allotted either for Darjeeling or say Mirik; if preferred.
