A foot beyond the fence and head in the clouds…
Take an off-road to seclusion amidst the fringes of the Khasmahal forest. Immerse in the tranquility of the farm and simply enjoy dolce far niente by watching the mighty mountains or the colorful butterflies. It will take you to a trance and stop the arms of your clock. Like Giovanni’s overture, break it with a dazzle of the light, heritage and the subtle brew of tea. Enjoy the queen of the hills for the next two days. Submerge in the legacy and indulge in the delicacies of the old British memoirs.
Once we reach NJP / Bagdogra, our chauffeur will drive us to Auks Farm for an experience of an organic vacation. The farm is far away from the hustle and bustle where we will check in by noon and have a lovely sumptuous lunch. After a balmy rest, in the afternoon we shall be going for a nature walk at the nearby village or tea estate to embrace the serenity of village life. The evening will be kept for leisure or bonfire followed by dinner and night stay at Auks Farm.
After a leisurely breakfast, we will be moving towards the main city through the greens of tea estates and Takdah forest. It will take maximum 2 hrs to check into our pre-booked hotel in Darjeeling. We will get ready soon to explore the city and visit the Japanese Temple & Pagoda, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute before lunch. En-route we will have lunch in a popular eatery of our choice and proceed towards Rangeet Valley Tea Garden for a ropeway ride across the garden to get a bird’s eye view. In the evening we will return to the hotel after having dinner in Glenary’s, a popular restaurant in Darjeeling and spend a night in Darjeeling.
The day will start with our early morning drive to Tiger Hill for witnessing the sunrise. The schedule will continue with our day trip on 7 points in Darjeeling post breakfast. En-route we will have our lunch and proceed towards Happy Valley Tea Estate for learning about the nuances of tea plantation followed by tasting sessions. By afternoon, we will be back to the nearby Mall area to try some finger foods in the popular Keventers Cafe and engage in some shopping excursions. We may also have our dinner at any restaurant near Mall Road and will return to our hotel for the night stay in Darjeeling.
After an early breakfast, we will proceed towards NJP / Bagdogra for journey home via Mirik to witness the beauty of Mirik Lake. Note: A day more can be extended at Auks Farm if preferred.
