Digha holds the reputation of being the most popular weekend beach getaway in West Bengal over the years. Throughout the year, it is filled with tourists all across Bengal and Orissa and has earned a lot of attention from overseas visitors as well. A 3-night halt and gorging on local seafood delicacies to bring peace in life. Let’s sketch an idea if we plan for a tour to Digha in February 2019.
After an early breakfast, we will check out from Kolkata hotel and start for Digha which is 4-hour drive from the metropolitan. En-route shall stop for lunch in 2-night dhaba to make the road trip ideal and finally check into the resort by early afternoon. In the evening, spend some leisurely time at the beach followed by dinner and night stay at Mandarmani.
A relatively newer destination to explore Bichitrapur is noted for the Mangrove Forest and boat safari. Only 15 KM from Digha, Bichitrapur is new to many Bengali tourists. We will have an early breakfast and will proceed towards Bichitrapur for a day trip. Late noon we will come back for lunch and shall rest till afternoon in our hotel. We will be witnessing the sunset by the beach and will spend the rest of the evening around the breezy Digha beach. Lighter bites on sea fish fries from the local stalls can add more joyfulness to the evening followed by dinner and night stay at Digha.
We will visit the beach early in the morning to witness sunrise and will return to the resort for breakfast. Then, we will be proceeding towards nearby beaches of Talsari or Sankarpur and shall have lunch en-route. In the afternoon, we will come back to Digha beach for sunset and spend the rest of the time at leisure followed by dinner and night stay at Digha.
After breakfast, we will be leaving for Kolkata. En-route we will stop for lunch and reach Kolkata by afternoon. The rest of the day shall be at leisure followed by dinner and night stay at Kolkata.
