Kalimpong and Darjeeling are 2 very popular hill stations across the globe especially for the scenic attributes and surrounding greeneries. The lofty green mountains with the February fog will be ultimate to cherish. The mighty Kanchenjunga from Tiger Hill or the bird’s eye view of Kalimpong town from the old Tibetan Durpin Monastery each place represents a marriage between breathtaking geography and admirable history for years. The following 3-nights / 4-day trip shall be a compact experience in the hills.
Once we reach NJP / Bagdogra our chauffeur will drive us through the winding lanes of the mountain roads and will arrive to check into the resort covering a distance of 3.5 hours by car. En-route we shall have some more time for lunch and relax sometime after checking in. In the afternoon, we will be strolling around the local market for relics and handicrafts or shall visit a nursery. The rest of the evening will be at leisure followed by a sumptuous dinner and night stay at Kalimpong.
After an early breakfast, we will visit Tibetan Monastery at Durpin, Delo Park and Mc Farlane Memorial Church. En-route we will have our lunch and shall check into the hotel in Darjeeling by afternoon and relax for some time. In the evening, we will visit the Mall Road and shall have our dinner in any of the popular eateries namely Glenary’s and return to the hotel for the night stay at Darjeeling.
The day will start with our early morning drive to Tiger Hill for witnessing the sunrise. The schedule will continue with our day trip on 7 points in Darjeeling post breakfast. En-route we will have our lunch and proceed towards Happy Valley Tea Estate for learning about the nuances of tea plantation followed by tasting sessions. By afternoon, we will be back to the nearby Mall area to try some finger foods in the popular Keventers Cafe and engage in some shopping excursions. We may also have our dinner at any restaurant near Mall Road and will return to our hotel for the night stay in Darjeeling.
After an early breakfast, we will proceed towards NJP / Bagdogra for journey home via Mirik to witness the beauty of Mirik Lake.
