To spice up the festive spirit, I and my family sketched a last minute plan of visiting Varanasi back in January 2016. We scouted for many options but due to this 11th-hour inquiry, most of the companies were either full with bookings or charging quite exorbitant. So, we vouched for one last option, approached ZERO DEGREE LATITUDE and finally made settled things comfortably. From the restlessness of the ever-flowing Ganges to the stillness of a funeral pyre in the Dashwamedh Ghat, the city is an apt metaphor for human life. I thank Zero Degree Latitude for bringing me in touch to the ground that has been forever blessed by the hallowed feet of saints. Their supremely planned travel ideas ensured that we never missed any of the sightings this ancient city had to offer. The hotel and food were excellent and provided a good sampling of the myriad delicacies this wonderland provides. From the modern amenities of the Benaras Hindu University to the company of Sadhus clad in the ashes of the funeral pyre, this city in all its diversity truly embodies Shiva. Our team had maximum senior members who enjoyed the trip for the arrangements, hospitality, and additional cooperation. We look forward to traveling on their assistance in the near future.

We love traveling and this time on December 1st week decided to explore the popular sanctuary regions of Dooars, North Bengal. Our brief to ZDL was short and simple. We needed a quaint place for a family getaway where we can spend a week’s time. They crafted an itinerary on Barfung and Chumbong, 2 scenic villages of West Sikkim from where we covered the popular destinations of West Sikkim. Initially, both I and Indrani were skeptical about the places as we preferred Pelling like most tourists but trusting ZDL’s option in terms of destination, accommodation, transportation along with some organic local cuisine experiences made our trip joyful and memorable.

Murshidabad being rich in history has always been in my list of travel experience especially for my school going daughter who is studying about the history of Bengal and land of Nawabs.
